I turned to food and nutrition in 2019 as a foundation to cope with my own health challenges with mental and physical health. Having more experience being a patient over a healthcare provider, I can translate scientific nutrition and medical concepts to patient/client-friendly terms and explanations.

 

Eating healthier is a daunting project when you are coping every day. I hope to fill the gap of intention and action with nutrition awareness, knowledge, and skills.​

Health inequity is often experienced by minorities of race and ethnicity, people with disabilities, and those who have challenged upbringing. It is a systemic issue that rooting as deep as historic bias in research inclusivity and sample representations. Identifying and advocating the gaps and disconnects must be starting point of addressing health and food equity while patching through immediate crisis.
